Academic coaching is facilitated instruction, with comprehensive demonstrations, and course specific preparation. Academic coaching encourages and assist students in becoming productive self-reliant learners by helping students acquire effective study skills, strategies, and techniques. It's the collaboration between the Coach and student that fosters successful academic skills in a college environment. A major emphasis of the Academic Coaching Program is for students to acquire greater discipline, coupled with subject content and conceptual understanding.
